Apatite

Ca5(F,Cl,OH)[PO4]3

Phosphates, arsenates, vanadates (apatite group) .
Appearance: Hexagonal with prismatic crystals. Terminated by dipyramidal faces. Great variety of colors, colorless, yellow, green, brown, occationally blue or red.
Hardness: 5
SG: 3,1-3,2
Transparent to opaque with vitreous luster.
Crystal system: Hexagonal.
Environment: Apatite are a very common mineral and occurs in many diffrent environments as an accessory mineral in all types of eruptive rocks. Often in hydro thermal vains in iron-rich igneous deposits.
