Albite

Na[AlSi3O8]

Silicate, (tectosolicates, feldspar group, plagioclase) a sodium aluminium silicate.
Appearance: Usually bladed to prismatic shaped crystals. Sometimes with fine striations with one variety called cleavlandite.
Hardness: 6-6,5
SG: 2,6
Transparent or translucent with vitreous luster.
Crystal system: Triclinc.
Environment: Are essential in many acid and plutonic igneous rocks such as granites, syanites and pegmatites.
